Marketing Communications Director

This is a Remote (work from home) position.

Primary Function: Primary Function: The Marketing Communications Director guides the development and implementation of marketing communications for multiple Solution Tree Inc. brands while measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing communications program to enhance the company’s position within the K-12 education marketplace.

Primary Duties

  • Responsible for leading a team of creative professionals who focus on core marketing principles that guide our work and set the tone for continuous improvement
  • Responsible for ideation and directing creative work, including campaign development for print collateral, websites, email campaigns, print and digital advertising, social media, webinars, podcasts, and video promotions aimed at one or more segments of the K-12 education market
  • Work with Chief Marketing Officer to articulate the company’s image and position and assure consistent communication of brand position and voice across marketing channels
  • Directs the efforts of the marketing communications staff in ways that support marketing’s key performance indicators
  • Maximize talents of the team while simultaneously serving as a coach, teacher, and critic

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing, Communications, Media/Journalism or Design degree preferred)
  • 8 or more years working in a marketing communications capacity with five or more years of progressive leadership experience
  • Experience hiring, training, developing, and supervising marketing communications personnel

  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workloads while adhering to critical project timelines and quality standards in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • An intimate understanding of design, copy, and web principles and best practices
  • Must be able to give and receive constructive criticism well
  • Experience with a variety of software, including Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • A strong understanding of brand development and multi-channel marketing concepts
  • Ability to blend attractive design and high functionality in all projects
  • Comfortable interacting with authors, associates, and internal staff alike
  • Strong persuasive skills
  • Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams
  • Takes initiative to implement process improvements and ways to optimize operations
