Marketing Creative Director

Primary Function: The Creative Director guides development and implementation of marketing communications for multiple Solution Tree Inc. brands while measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing communications program that will enhance the company’s position within the marketplace.

Primary Duties

  • Responsible for leading a team of creative professionals, developing creative guidelines and directing creative work, including print collateral, websites, email campaigns, print and digital advertising, podcasts, webinars and video promotions
  • Ensure articulation of the company’s image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position
  • Directs the efforts of the marketing communications staff
  • Maximize the talents of the team while being a coach, a teacher, an instructor, and a critic all at once

  • Reflect, articulate, and promote the mission, vision, values and identities of Solution Tree brands
  • Be an expert in all facets of the creative process — and the creative industry — in order to produce the best work.
  • Uphold protocol to ensure a uniform brand style (uniform fonts, logos, images)

 Quality Assurance

  • Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the marketing and communications function
  • Ensure articulation of the company’s image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Art, Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications or Media/Journalism degree preferred)
  • 8 or more years working in a marketing communications capacity with progressive leadership experience
  • Experience hiring, training, developing, and supervising creative personnel

Specific Skills:

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • An intimate understanding of design, copy and web best practices/guidelines
  • Experience with a variety of software, including Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • A strong understanding of brand development and multi-channel marketing concepts
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to blend attractive design and high functionality in all projects
  • Comfort interacting with authors, associates and internal staff alike
  • Strong persuasive skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workloads while adhering to critical project timelines and quality standards in a fast-paced environment
