RFP Development Associate

Position summary:
Reporting to the Sales Operations and Proposals Manager, and as a member of the sales department, the RFP Development Associate is responsible for supporting the sales team by responding to educational funding opportunities. The essential job functions of this position include developing comprehensive and persuasive proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for qualifications (RFQs), and requests for information (RFIs) at the district, regional, and state level. This role requires a deep understanding of our company’s capabilities, products, and services, as well as the ability to effectively communicate our value proposition to potential clients. The RFP Development Associate will also be responsible for corresponding duties that accompany these priorities.
The successful person will have excellent written communication skills, refined organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to remain calm and productive in a fast-paced environment that includes frequent tight deadlines.
Summary of essential job functions
- Analyze RFP/RFQ/RFI documents to identify key requirements and evaluation criteria.
- Support and/or create RFP/RFQ/RFI responses for district, regional, and state solicitations that clearly articulate our company’s solutions and benefits.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure proposal accuracy, as necessary.
- Edit and proofread proposals to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with solicitation guidelines.
- Maintain a proposal library for reuse of content.
- Contribute to the development of proposal templates and processes.
- Function as a member of a team completing similar projects; cross-training will occur, and this person must be prepared to provide assistance with other departmental tasks.
- Utilize appropriate proposal enablement tools to maximize response times
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Deep understanding of our company’s capabilities, products, and services
- Ability to effectively communicate our value proposition to potential clients.
- Highly organized and able to work under pressure to meet, sometimes tight, deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adept at Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Adobe, and AI tools.
Abilities required

Position Type
This is a full-time position. Days and hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work and travel are also required as job duties demand.
Travel
Some travel, including overnights, is required for this role for department meetings, the annual company retreat, and other occasional company meetings.
