Professional Development Reporting Specialist

This can be a remote/work from home position. 

 

An entry-level position, within the professional development department, responsible for data collection, report creation, and the execution of our video conferencing product. Top candidates for this position are detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven. Working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, the Reporting Specialist takes initiative to move tasks to completion. This person is adept at problem-solving, process management and has strong communication skills.

Summary of essential job functions

  • Gathers verifies and manipulates data for report generation
  • Maintains access and user permissions for multiple software programs
  • Serves as a point of contact on multiple software systems to address errors and functionality
  • Manages the execution of some virtual sessions including testing with customers and presenters, and basic troubleshooting
  • Maintains knowledge of technology, systems, and processes to ensure proficiency
  • Stays abreast of changes in reporting needs to make updates to standard reports
  • Makes suggestions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of current reporting processes
  • Reviews data on reports to ensure accuracy and validity for reports
  • Consults with managers to respond to ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Generates reports to distribute to internal and external business units
  • Reviews data entry in systems to ensure accuracy of data
  • Provides data entry assistance to organization to improve efficiency
  • Responds to questions and requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Manages details of work from start to finish with minimal supervision
  • Performs other duties as needed by the department

 

 

Minimum requirements

The ideal candidate is self-motivated with strong analytical skills. Our company desires team members who have a customer service orientation, need little supervision and are committed to team success. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.  Success in this role requires good listening and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy are required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel is essential.
